Sustainability Report 2023
We contribute to creating added value and avoiding risks with both our products and our business activities. Whether through active climate protection, occupational safety or fair business conduct, for example, we are committed to the various ESG aspects (environment, social, governance). In the first Sustainability Report 2023, we provide insights into our activities.
Sustainability at DAW
With the Agenda 2030 the world community has adopted a plan for the future - with the aim of driving sustainable development forward. As a signatory to the UN Global Compact, we actively support the Agenda with its 17 sustainability goals - where we as a company can have the greatest impact.

Innovative products have a long tradition at DAW. In addition to health, design and efficiency, sustainability is a key factor in product development.
Environmental & Climate Protection
We consistently reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, act in an environmentally conscious manner in production, and consistently advocate greater environmental and climate protection.
Supply Chain
DAW assumes responsibility in the supply chain - and is in constant exchange with its suppliers, partners and fellow industry competitors.
Social Commitment
As a family-owned business, two things are important to us: helping people and promoting talent. In this way, we make a positive contribution to society.
Awards
DAW SE wins the German Sustainability Award 2024 and joins the 100 pioneering companies in Germany that are driving the transformation in the German economy. Already among the TOP 3 winners in 2018, DAW was able to prevail this time in a demanding selection process and convince a top-class jury of experts with its sustainable successes since 2010.
We are proud that our sustainable corporate governance was awarded bronze in a voluntary EcoVadis rating in 2023. In addition, our subsidiary CIS, based in Nerchau, was awarded the EcoVadis platinum medal. We will continue to work on improving ourselves in the future so that our suppliers and customers can be sure that they are working with a partner that is committed to a sustainable future.
Memberships & awards
We emphasize on bringing about positive change cooperatively and setting impulses for change. We see a major lever for this in our memberships.
We strive to be a pioneer in our industry when it comes to sustainability. In doing so, we have long combined innovation and responsibility. We regularly receive awards for our engagement.
