As a family-run company, one of DAW’s core values is promoting innovation. We have already received multiple awards for our work in this area. Below, you can find information on five of the outstanding awards we have won in recent years.
This was the mentality that DAW was praised for at the 27th TOP 100 competition for innovation, where we particularly stood out in the category ‘Innovative processes and organisation’.
To create a stunning brick façade for the Flowers Hotel in Essen, 100-year-old locally-sourced bricks were secured and painstakingly restored by hand. alsecco’s façade insulation system edition and its sustainable upcycling concept were awarded prizes in the categories ‘Innovative Architecture’ and ‘Innovative Material’.
Business magazine ‘brand eins’ and statistics portal Statista are well-known for their annual industry report. By using a meta-analysis and surveying more than 20,000 people, this report identifies the top players in the German business landscape. In 2019, the report identified DAW as one of Germany’s most innovative companies in the field ‘Manufacturing and processing materials’.
DAW has also been awarded Germany’s oldest innovation prize – the Dieselmedaille – for its achievements in the field of sustainable innovations. When developing its products, Caparol is committed to finding solutions which conserve resources and are environmentally sound. It was the first company in the world to provide healthy, low-emission and solvent-free paints for interior rooms.
In the 25th annual TOP 100 competition, DAW was listed as one of Germany’s most innovative middle-sized companies. This was based on criteria such as innovative success, innovation management and innovation culture. DAW particularly impressed the jury with its professional innovation processes.
