Company Management DAW SE

Dr Ralf Murjahn is the owner and Managing Director (CEO) of DAW SE. The graduate chemist with a doctorate in business administration joined Deutsche Amphibolinwerke von Robert Murjahn Stiftung & Co KG (now DAW SE), which has been wholly family-owned for five generations, in 2001. He initially took over responsibility for research and development and later also for the industrial business. In 2008, Ralf Murjahn was appointed Chairman of the DAW Management Board. The company was then increasingly focused on international, sustainable and profitable growth, the brand strategies were sharpened and the corporate culture was modernised and professionalised through ONE DAW. In 2020, DAW SE celebrated its 125th anniversary and the most successful year in the company's history. A clear strategy and focus on customer benefits, a new organisation, a strengthening of core competencies and the largest investment programme to date are setting DAW up for a successful future.


Steffen Heiko Fischer joined the DAW management team on 1 May. Following his studies  in Economics at Nuremberg University he joined Bosch Siemens Domestic Appliances Ltd in various sales and marketing functions, finally as Regional CEO  responsible for sales and marketing in the Regions  Middle East, Southeast Asia and North Africa regions. In June 2009, he moved to the Bosch Power Tools Asia division as Senior Vice President Sales.  In March 2014, he went to Chicago as Regional CEO for Powertools being  responsible for the North American region and primarily serving customers in the professional and DIY sectors. Since 2017, he has been CEO of Bosch Scintilla AG based in Solothurn. Within the Bosch Group, Scintilla AG is responsible for the development, production, sales and marketing of power tools Accessories worldwide.


Dr Sabrina Berg has been Managing Director of DAW SE since 1 February 2024.  Her area of responsibility covers the areas of Finance, Controlling, Group Process Optimisation and IT. She is also responsible for property management. After studying Business Administration with a focus on Supply Chain & Controlling/Finance in Essen and Berkeley, USA, Dr Berg initially worked at BASF as a Specialist Corporate Controlling from 2005 to 2007. After completing her doctorate, she joined Henkel AG & Co. KG IN 2012. Her last position there was as Corporate Director Group Controlling & Reporting. Since 2022, Dr Berg has worked as Senior Vice President Group Controlling, responsible for Controlling, M&A, Investor Relations and Financial Processes and a member of the Finance Executive Leadership Team for the Grünenthal Group. 


Dr. Jörg Leuninger joined DAW SE on February 1st, 2022 as Executive Board Member and is responsible for the segments Innovation and Business Fields. Dr. Jörg Leuninger graduated in chemistry and afterwards he obtained his doctorate at the Max-Planck-Institute for polymer chemistry in Mainz. For many years he gained his comprehensive expertise in numerous functions like R&D, marketing, supply chain and HR for BASF SE in Germany and abroad. Before joining DAW SE, Dr. Leuninger was member of the Board of Management of SUN & Effects GmbH and was responsible for Portfolio & Innovation Management.
