Employees

We are a family-owned company in its fifth generation. From the very beginning, we have fostered participation and cohesion, putting people at the center of everything we do. We aim to ensure health and safety at the workplace, create equal opportunities for all, and provide avenues for personal development and growth—regardless of nationality, gender, age, or length of service.

Upholding high standards for occupational safety and health

Our guiding principle in occupational safety is clear: zero accidents, healthy work, in line with the Vision Zero philosophy. To achieve this, we continually strive to raise awareness about health and safety and to prevent potential hazards from arising in the first place.

However, “healthy work” goes beyond preventing workplace accidents: within the company, we are dedicated to promoting and protecting both the mental and physical health of our employees. We focus on:

  • Preventive and educational initiatives
  • Constant improvement of working conditions
  • Increasing workplace satisfaction

At our headquarters in Ober-Ramstadt, for example, we take the best possible care of our employees’ health through various fitness programs, health tips, lectures, and preventive offers such as massages, physiotherapy, or skin cancer screenings. For us, improving working conditions means designing work in a way that supports health—for example, through the use of lifting aids in production and height-adjustable desks in offices.

Commitment to equal opportunity and equity

The people at DAW are as diverse as our colors. We are convinced that diversity is a crucial driver of business success—different perspectives and skills result in the best solutions. Diversity takes many forms at our company: gender, nationality, age, and length of service. We have set ourselves the goal of increasing diversity at senior management levels by 2030.

To best support work-life balance, we offer flexible working hour models and the possibility to work remotely and from home.

WoMen@DAW – From women’s network to diversity network

Our “WoMen@DAW” network has evolved from a women’s network to an inclusive network for everyone committed to diversity, connection, inspiration, and mutual empowerment. Under the motto “Link, Empower, and Inspire,” the organizing team regularly holds networking meetings, workshops, and webinars on topics such as “Unconscious Bias” or “Women in Leadership.” The network now boasts 272 members at 10 locations and has held 55 events so far – mainly in Germany.

Promote education and training

Being a fair partner to our employees also means enabling personal growth, (young) talent development, and lifelong learning:

  • A diverse range of learning opportunities: From e-learnings to practical courses on topics such as project management or lean administration—we invest in both professional and cross-disciplinary further training for our employees.
  • Targeted talent promotion: Our group-wide development initiative accelerator@DAW nurtures employees with leadership potential. With trainings like “Leading Myself” and “Leading Intercultural,” we support preparation for future leadership roles and foster internal networking.
  • Targeted entry-level opportunities: With over 15 different apprenticeship and dual study programs and a trainee program for university graduates, we offer a variety of ways to begin a career at DAW.
