Personnel development
In DAW SE more than 5,600 employees work daily at more than 50 locations. We provide more than 15 types of apprenticeship – in commercial as well as in the industrial and technical fields. Our apprenticeship quota is 9.5% (status: October 2012) which is significantly above the average for our industrial branch, i.e. 5.2%. We place great value on the professional development of our employees and with the programmes DAW School and DAW University we offer a wide range of seminars.
Furthermore, with the opening of the works day nursery, the DAW Rüsselbande, in 2009 mothers and fathers now have the possibility of harmonising their professional and family lives. With this measure we want to support talented and motivated employees in establishing a family. For university graduates we offer an international management trainee programme in which the trainees are given the opportunity of working for up to 6 months at our foreign locations. In 2012 this programme was acknowledged as a "Career-promoting and fair trainee programme" by the job exchange, Absolventa.
