Munich: CAPAROL and CAPAROL ICONS Radiate in the Artwork

Munich/Ober-Ramstadt – On April 29, 2026, the FLUX Treehouse opened in the Winter Garden of the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich as a new, open meeting place for dialogue, creativity, and cultural exchange. With its powerful presence, it expands the FLUX Pavilion as a dynamic space that invites visitors to linger, participate, and explore.

A Vibrant Design Concept by Morag Myerscough with CAPAROL and CAPAROL ICONS

Morag Myerscough, known for her immersive installations and her positive, community-driven design language, is enthusiastic about working with the high-quality paints from CAPAROL and CAPAROL ICONS. In our Instagram-Video, the London-based artist vividly shares insights into her creative process and explains how the diverse color shades supported and brought her artistic vision to life.

A central design element of this artistic installation is its extraordinary color architecture: for FLUX, internationally renowned artist Morag Myerscough selected a total of 50 bold color icons from the CAPAROL ICONS collection. Myerscough’s clients include iconic projects and brands such as the Coachella festival, BMW, and the Design Museum London. The deliberately bold choice of colors gives the location a distinctive, dynamic aesthetic and turns the treehouse into a highly visible statement for color, optimism, and openness.

“The FLUX Treehouse vividly demonstrates the impact color can have within a space. Our collaboration with Morag Myerscough and the Pinakothek der Moderne shows how the intense color world of CAPAROL ICONS connects architecture, art, and community while providing new impulses for cultural venues. Hannes Klockenhoff and I expanded the CAPAROL ICONS palette with selected CAPAROL products, enabling seamless integration of both brands,” emphasizes Annika Murjahn, Creative Director of CAPAROL ICONS.

For the treehouse, a wide variety of colors from the CAPAROL ICONS palette were used, as illustrated by our sample selection: the brilliantly luminous lapis lazuli blue of NO 60 ODE TO JOY and the immaculate sky blue NO 58 COPACABANA impress alongside NO 79 KINGSTON—a pure summer green—within the blue/green spectrum. Additional eye-catchers include the intense sun yellow of NO 99 LILO, the fiery curry tone NO 110 POONA, and the uniquely striking red of NO 119 BIRD’S NEST. The combination with rose and pink tones is equally captivating, featuring the charming yet provocative pink of NO 44 MINI, the rich coral pink NO 43 BLUSH, and the vibrant fuchsia nuance NO 45 UNTITLED PINK, rounded off by the soft violet of NO T 11 JACARANDA.

The CAPAROL 3D product range was also prominently featured with the colors Agave 95, Velvet 95, Oasis 145, Citrus 95, Pink 20, Pink 10, Lazur 185, and Arctic 120, all contributing to the vibrant design concept.

The name FLUX references the Fluxus art movement of the 1960s. Artists of this movement challenged traditional definitions of art, aiming to make it accessible to everyone rather than exclusive. Together with its “big brother” CAPAROL, CAPAROL ICONS provided the colors for this artwork. The intense color world of CAPAROL and CAPAROL ICONS plays a key role in creating an atmosphere that inspires, energizes, and brings people together.
