25 New Apprentices and Dual-Study Students Begin Their Careers at DAW
Ober-Ramstadt, August 7, 2026. Attracting and developing qualified talent remains a cornerstone of DAW SE’s long-term strategy. To mark the start of the new training year on August 1, 2026, the independent family-owned company welcomed a total of 25 new apprentices and dual-study students across four locations in Germany.
The majority of the new recruits, including 16 apprentices and four dual-study students, will begin their careers at the company’s headquarters in Ober-Ramstadt. Additional young professionals are starting their apprenticeships or degree programs at DAW’s sites in Köthen, Nerchau, and Gerstungen. They will pursue a variety of commercial, technical, manufacturing, and IT-related career paths, as well as future-oriented dual-study programs.
Investing in Young Talent for the Future
“Training and developing our own skilled professionals is an important investment in the future of our company. People with different backgrounds bring fresh perspectives, digital expertise, and new ideas. At the same time, we want to provide an environment where they can grow both professionally and personally,” says Bianca Willms, Head of Talent Acquisition & Retention at DAW.
Currently, around 70 people across Germany are completing an apprenticeship or dual-study program with DAW. The company’s training portfolio includes programs for industrial management assistants, IT specialists, digitalization management professionals, chemical process operators, chemical production technicians, machine and plant operators, warehouse logistics specialists, and paint laboratory technicians. Dual-study students are beginning their academic and professional journeys in Cyber Security, International Business Administration, and Business Informatics.
Starting a career at DAW is all about learning, connecting, and growing together. New colleagues can look forward to a comprehensive onboarding program at the company’s various locations, featuring initial insights into the business, opportunities to meet trainers and mentors, and numerous occasions to connect and exchange ideas with fellow newcomers.
A Strong Start to Professional Life
“Every year, it is something special to see so many talented individuals join us, each bringing their own experiences, interests, and perspectives. This diversity of ideas and viewpoints enriches our company. I am very much looking forward to supporting our new apprentices and dual-study students during their first days with DAW and helping lay the foundation for a successful start to their careers,” says Lisa Gölz, HR Business Partner for Young Professionals at DAW.
A key element of DAW’s training concept is its mentoring program. Experienced mentors help new apprentices and students settle into day-to-day working life and serve as trusted contacts from day one. In September, apprentices from all German DAW locations will come together in Ober-Ramstadt for a series of networking and team-building days. The event is designed to help participants build connections across locations and develop a strong sense of teamwork from the very beginning.
As a family-owned company, DAW has long placed great importance on developing its own talent. Through a broad range of apprenticeship programs and dual-study opportunities, the company creates attractive entry paths for young people while investing strategically in the skilled professionals of tomorrow. Applications for apprenticeship positions and selected dual-study programs starting in August 2027 will open in September 2026.
